These home made chicken schnitzel burgers taste just as good, if not better, than the ones you buy from the takeaway shop. The schnitzels taste so much better than the premade processed ones you can buy at the supermarket and cost a lot less as well. Once you make these burgers, you’ll wonder why you ever gave the takeaway shop your money! These burgers are even better served with some home made mayonniaselemon mayonnaise or a deliciously spicy chilli mayonnaise.

A great money saving tip is to buy chicken fillets in bulk when it’s on special and make a big batch of these schnitzels for the freezer, then you can quickly whip up these burgers or make chicken schnitzel with chips and/or vegetables/salad, any time you like.

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan to medium heat, then fry the schnitzels for 3-5 minutes each side until the chicken is cooked through.
  2. Assemble the burgers by first cutting them in half and adding lettuce and mayo to the bottom of the bun. Place the chicken on top of the lettuce and cover with the top of the bun.
