I love how clothes feel after you use fabric softener on them. They’re so soft its like your clothes are hugging you. Without fabric softener clothes can get quite a stiff and scratchy feeling, especially after repeated washes or hanging on the line on a really hot day.
This fabric softener is made using vinegar and conditioner. It may seem weird using conditioner on your clothes but its well worth it. The conditioner will soften the fibres of your clothes while the vinegar will strip away the soap residue.
Conditioner can be expensive, I’m not suggesting you use your fancy salon bought bottle of conditioner for your clothes. The cheapest bottle of conditioner at the supermarket will do the job just as well and be much better for your wallet.
Use 1/4 cup of fabric softener per load.
What you’ll need:
3 cups vinegar
2 cups hair conditioner
6 cups hot water
Pour the vinegar, conditioner and water into a large container and stir until combined. This makes quite a lot of fabric softener so you will need a large bottle or container that will hold at least 11 cups.
