Metal Polish

Metal polish is one of those things that you only need when you need it. If you’re having guests over and need to clean some cutlery that hasn’t been used in a long time they may be tarnished and need a bit of a clean before you present them to your guests. Store bought metal polish is unnecessary, you’ll probably only use it the once and then forget that you own it which means you’ll buy it again next time you need to polish something. My solution is much easier and only has 2 ingredients. It doesn’t have to be reserved for just cutlery, you can use it on any metal.

What you’ll need:

1 lemon
bicarb soda
Piece of cloth

Simply squeeze lemon juice onto the surface that is needing to be cleaned, sprinkle a spoonful or two of baking soda over the lemon juice and mix it together with your hands covering the surface of the item with a thin paste like covering.

Let it dry for about an hour and then rub hard with a soft cloth.
