Fairy Bread Tim Tams

I tried out the viral Fairy Bread Tim Tam recipe from Taste.com.au. These were such a fun little weekend project to attempt, and they look absolutely gorgeous laid out on a party table.

I used Iced Vovo Tim Tams which were so tasty, but they are covered in milk chocolate so the hundreds and thousands aren’t quite as vibrant. If I were to make these again, I would use the white chocolate Tim Tams as suggested by the Taste team in their original recipe.

Here’s how you can make them:

1. Spread a generous amount of hundreds and thousands on a baking tray and place in the oven (160 degrees celsius) for 2 minutes to warm them up.

2. Remove from the oven and place the Tim Tams on top of the sprinkles. Gently push them in so the sprinkles attach to the bottom and also up the sides of the biscuits a little.

3. Pop these back in the oven for about 20 seconds until the chocolate on the Tim Tams is slightly melted. It will look glossy, but it shouldn’t be runny. Don’t heat it too long or the chocolate will become a gooey mess and slide off the biscuits instead of holding on to the sprinkles.

4. Take out of the oven and pour more hundreds and thousands over the top. You may need to push some hundreds and thousands onto the sides just to get full coverage.

5. Pop into the fridge to chill, and then return to their original plastic tray to serve!

6. Don’t waste those left over hundreds and thousands! These are still good to reuse. Just return them to their original jar, or a fresh jar, ready to use for your next cooking project!.

7. Enjoy!
